Churches

The practice has been involved with repairs, alterations and re-ordering of churches for many years and we now act for over 100 churches in Dorset, Somerset and Devon. We have also carried out a number of extensions to historic churches.

Michael Howarth, one of the Directors is accredited in Building Conservation (AABC) and we have worked with English Heritage on many grant aided works to churches.

Michael Howarth has also been appointed to the Salisbury Diocesan Advisory Committee. He is also an approved ‘Church Architect’ by the following Dioceses: Salisbury, Bath & Wells, and Exeter.

We have worked on Roman Catholic and Anglican historic churches, and would also be interested to work for other denominations. We take trouble to understand the relationship between the built form of a church and the liturgical and functional requirements that it supports.
