Listed buildings
John Stark and Crickmay Partnership are specialists in conservation and listed buildings. One of the Partners has particular expertise in this area, being accredited in building conservation (AABC). We do not adhere to one particular philosophy with regard to historic buildings; rather each project is considered on its own merits. In some instances a sensitive restoration may be appropriate, whereas other situations may demand a contemporary intervention within an historic context.
We have built up an extensive portfolio of work to Listed Buildings and within Conservation Areas. Historic houses present particular design challenges, as they require a solution that balances the preservation of the character of the original architecture whilst providing accommodation that meets the level of comfort and style expected by our clients.
