Social developments
In Dorset and the surrounding Counties there is a great shortage and an ever-increasing need for social and affordable housing. In accordance with general Planning Policy, ‘affordable’ housing is provided by means of proportional development within a larger housing scheme, or a financial contribution towards future developments in modern housing development schemes.
JSCP have been involved in partnership schemes with larger Housing Associations, including Magna and Signpost and smaller local Associations including Mill Street in the past, producing housing purely for local people for rental and shared equity schemes. These schemes have involved both the conversion and adaptation of existing listed buildings and the construction of new buildings on green sites.
New development sites within surrounding villages included: Broadmayne, Frampton, Puddletown, Piddlehinton and Yetminster.
